The Air Jordan 6 Retro Maroon, one of the most highly anticipated releases in Jordan history, finally made its return in late 2015. After years of speculation and teasing from Jordan Brand, the Maroon VI became a reality, much to the excitement of sneaker enthusiasts. When images of the shoe surfaced from China in July, the sneaker community went into a frenzy. This marked the first retro release of the Maroon 6, available in men’s, GS, and PS sizing, and prominently featured the iconic ‘Nike Air’ branding on the heel.

As part of Nike's Retro Remaster initiative, which began in the spring of 2015, the Air Jordan 6 Retro Maroon was crafted to be as close to the original 1991 design as possible. What sets this sneaker apart is its stunning off-white leather upper paired with deep maroon accents on the midsole and tongue. Unlike the typical icy blue outsole seen on most Jordan Retro 6s, the Maroon 6 features milky translucent hits, adding a unique touch to this classic silhouette. To complete the nostalgic experience, Jordan Brand designed the box for the Jordan 6 Retro Maroon to replicate the original packaging from 1991.
