Nike and long-time collaborator CLOT re-released the Nike Air Max 1 CLOT "Kiss of Death" in 2021, originally debuting back in 2006. The reissue answered the wishes of many Air Max fans who missed the opportunity to get the original pair 15 years ago.

CLOT founder Edison Chen has always aimed to bridge Eastern and Western cultures through his work with Nike, and the "Kiss of Death" embodies this mission by blending Nike’s cutting-edge design with traditional Chinese philosophies, particularly those related to medicine and foot pressure points. The sneaker features translucent materials that place the focus on the foot itself, and the icy-blue outsole includes a diagram illustrating foot pressure points. Luxe details like faux snakeskin on the Swoosh and an ostrich-textured collar elevate the design even further.

Released in March 2021, the Nike Air Max 1 CLOT "Kiss of Death" retailed for $150.
