In 1948, Jackie Robinson shattered the color barrier in Major League Baseball when he made his debut for the Brooklyn Dodgers. To honor his legacy as a civil rights icon and baseball legend, Nike released the Nike Dunk Low Jackie Robinson.
This special edition Dunk Low features a Brooklyn Dodgers-inspired colorway, with a light grey Durabuck upper, royal blue leather overlays, an embroidered mini-Swoosh at the toe, and a felted side Swoosh reminiscent of vintage baseball caps from the late 1940s. Robinson's famous quote, "I'm not concerned with you liking or disliking me…All I ask is that you respect me as a human being," is printed across the design in a subtle pattern. His iconic number 42 is embroidered on the heel, adding a personalized touch to the sneaker.
Released in July 2022, the Nike Dunk Low Jackie Robinson retailed for $130.
